Our love for keycaps has always existed, but it may not be as prevelant as its clear that we have not sold many sets during our time in business. Keycap logistics can be messy and complicated (as most of you probably already know). Delays, QC issues, and frustration from both vendor and end user is unavoidable with the standard group buy method that has been around for years. Because of this, we've kept our keycap offerings very limited - but the itch to actually have keycap offerings on the store always remained.

Luckily, we have partnered up with Milkyway and Iridescent Keys to provide new keycap offerings that both combat the messy group buy system, and allows us to expand our product line with keycap offerings. In this email, we're here to tell you all about it.

So, Whats New?

After a lot of internal discussion and working directly with Iridescent and Milkyway Keycaps, we are excited to offer sets that will be manufactured and shipped immediately. No more long lead times waiting for sets to be made and shipped to us. All sets offered by the two manufactures will be made first prior to us selling.

We will be using our standard pre-order sales model, like we have for many of our products (I.E., switches). This means we are going to be placing the order for these keycaps first, and we won't begin selling them until the products have or are about to ship from the manufacture to us. This means lead times for pre-order swill span between 4-6 weeks (the duration of freight time it takes to go from manufacture to us). Additionally, there will be no concerns on possibly not receiving a product since the product you are purchasing is something we've already paid for in advanced.

Lastly, all designs that we are going to be offering are designs that are either made in house by Milkyway/IDK, or are with designers they work directly with. They have a ton of awesome designs lined up, and we can't wait to share them with you all!

Iridescent Keys

Iridescent or IDK keys are the newest guys on the block. IDK's aim is to provide high quality, well kitted PBT keycaps with unique and interesting designs that stray away from the norm, all for an extremely competitive price. The first two designs we will be stocking from them will be their Retro Gray and Irritable Update keycaps - both of which feature a unique typeface with fun and quirky mods. 

IDK kits are currently priced at $50 for a full kit, which includes spacebars and novelties!

Milkyway Keys

Milkyway is a name most of you might be familiar with given we have ran 3 sets with them already. We know that we have had our fair share of hiccups, but we have been in very close contact with Milkyway for the past year and they have completely beefed up their logistics and operations - with a facility now solely dedicated to keycap manufacturing and production. In turn this means they are able to produce at a much higher and efficient rate; all while keeping quality at the highest tier and prices as low as possible. 

The first pre-order set we will be introducing by them is the Rubber XMAS set, which features a a playful typeface in an array of Christmas colors, and your standard Rubber iconography adorned in Christmas themes on the novelties.
